The Muhlenberg women's basketball team tied a scoring record twice in defeating Bryn Mawr, 98-40, in its next-to-last game of the regular season.
The Mules (17-7, 14-5) scored 32 points in both the first and fourth quarters, matching the school record for points in a quarter set earlier this year against Dickinson. They came within two points of recording the 16th 100-point game in program history despite netting only six points in the third quarter.

Rachel Plotke, sophomore
Meghan Falk and freshman
Emily O'Mahoney scored 12 points apiece to lead a balanced attack in which 17 of the 18 players who suited up contributed at least one point. Freshman
Madison Kirchofer added a career-high 11, with Falk and O'Mahoney
(pictured above) also establishing career bests.
With Haverford, Dickinson, Gettysburg and Johns Hopkins all winning as well, the result did nothing to change the Centennial Conference standings. Muhlenberg remains tied for second place with Dickinson, one game ahead of Gettysburg. Haverford has clinched the top seed for the playoffs, with Johns Hopkins and Ursinus contending for the fifth and final playoff spot.
Muhlenberg led 19-2 after six minutes and shot 50 percent from the field in the first half, which ended with a 60-13 score. It was the seventh time in program history the Mules scored 60 points in a half.
None of the five starters played in the second half, giving some of the Mules' reserves some valuable experience. Sophomore
Amanda Morello pulled down a career-high nine rebounds, and freshman
Rosie Martin finished with six points, four assists and two steals.
The Mules, who entered the game 10th in Division III in assist-to-turnover ratio, improved their mark by recording 26 assists against just eight turnovers. On defense, Muhlenberg held the Owls (2-22, 0-19) to 22.4-percent shooting and forced 24 turnovers.
