JeanLee Baez recorded his third career double-double as the Muhlenberg men's basketball team opened Centennial Conference play with an 89-68 defeat to Dickinson.

Baez led the Mules (1-3, 0-1 CC) with 11 rebounds and scored 11 points, making five of his seven shots. Through four games, Baez has made 20-of-27 shots (74.1 percent) and four of his five free throw attempts while leading the Mules in rebounding (6.5 rpg) as well. He has only missed more than two shots from the field three times in his last 28 games.

Senior
Nick Rindock led the Mules with 19 points, shooting 7-for-10 from the field and making all four of his three-pointers. He also finished with four rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Sophomore
Matt Gnias also scored in double figures, adding 13 points with a team-high three assists.

(pictured above) opened the game with a three and a Gnias jumper followed by a Baez layup off a Gnias pass had Muhlenberg up 7-2 through three minutes. The Red Devils (2-1, 1-0 CC) came back to tie the game at 11-11 on a three-pointer and later took a 19-13 lead.

Alex Mitton cut into the Dickinson lead with a layup off an offensive board, and another Gnias jumper followed by two free throws from sophomore
Ryan Gaynor tied it back up at 19-19.

Muhlenberg retook the lead a minute later on a layup by Baez, but Dickinson came back with a three-pointer. The Mules stayed within one point when Rindock hit a triple of his own with 7:27 left in the half, but the Red Devils then went on a 10-0 run to extend their lead before halftime.

Gnias brought the deficit back to single-digits with a three-pointer to open Muhlenberg's second-half scoring. Dickinson scored the next five points before a triple from freshman
Michael Morreale made it 46-38. The Red Devils, however, answered with a three of their own and held a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
