The Muhlenberg men's soccer team continued its run of excellent play against top competition, tying Dickinson 1-1.
In the last month, the Mules (4-7-3, 1-4-2) have played eight games against teams that are or have been nationally ranked. Although they are 0-6-2 in those contests, five of them went into overtime.
Dickinson (9-4-2, 3-2-2) entered the game ranked in the top 10 in the Mid-Atlantic Region by both the NCAA (sixth) and United Soccer Coaches (ninth). The Red Devils broke a scoreless tie with just 7:37 left in regulation, but Muhlenberg came right back to tie just 90 seconds later.

Kevin Irving, the reigning Centennial Conference player of the week, won a ball in the attacking half and passed to junior
Shaun Bartholomew in the right corner. Bartholomew
(pictured above) beat a defender and sent a cross into the box. Senior
Anthony Carracino then sent a quick pass to freshman
Victor Jacobs, who tapped the ball in at the near post for his second goal of the season.
The Mules kept up the pressure in the overtime and nearly won the game twice. One shot hit the post, and another that did go in was nullified by an offisde call.
Junior
Jordan Schreer made a season-high nine saves in goal.
Muhlenberg extended its streak of not allowing a goal in the first half to 13 games.
