The Muhlenberg women's soccer team battled Gettysburg for two overtimes in a hard-fought back-and-forth affair before falling on a goal with just 72 seconds left.
Junior
Libby Juliano, who entered the game ranked 16th in Division III in save percentage, made 10 stops to reach double figures for the third time this season. Her best save was a diving stop to her right on a breakaway with 10 minutes left in regulation.
The best scoring chance for the Mules (4-7-2, 2-3-2) came with about 28 minutes left in regulation, when a shot by freshman
Mia Mulin went just over the crossbar.
The winning goal came off a mishit corner kick. Muhlenberg was unable to clear the ball, and a Bullet player fired the loose ball into the top of the net.
The loss snapped the Mules' nine-game home unbeaten streak.
