The Muhlenberg men's soccer team faced an early deficit and could not recover, losing 2-0 at Scranton.
 
The Royals (3-0) scored both their goals within the first 24 minutes, putting the Mules (1-2) in a tough position the rest of the way.
 
Muhlenberg took five shots in each half, but their best scoring chance came midway through the second half. Senior Nick Sarkos forwarded the ball to himself on a breakaway, with only the Scranton goalie to beat. The Royals keeper came out and got a deflection on Sarkos's shot however, and a solid attempt off the rebound from sophomore Brian Heckman sailed wide left.
 
The Mules were outshot in the game 16-10. Goalkeeper Marshall Hanyon saved four shots while playing all ninety minutes for Muhlenberg.
