The Muhlenberg men's soccer team took a second-half lead over Lebanon Valley on an own goal before ultimately surrendering two late goals in a 2-1 defeat.
 
Both teams were held scoreless in the first half. Muhlenberg had the best scoring chance in the half when a header shot from freshman Pete Luther got past the goalkeeper. A Lebanon Valley defender got a foot on the ball just before it crossed the goal line however and deflected it out to save the goal.
 
The Mules pressed the attack in the second half, taking four of the team's six shots in that period. The home team broke through in the 51st minute. Senior Nick Sarkos ripped a shot that hit off the crossbar, and ten seconds later an attempted pass across the middle was kicked by a Lebanon Valley defender into the net for an own goal and a 1-0 Mules lead.
 
Lebanon Valley capitalized on two long passes from the right side into the box to score their goals, with the second shot coming off a corner attempt with less than ten minutes to play.
 
Muhlenberg's Jeff Remley attempted the Mules' final shot of the game a few minutes later, but his shot was blocked before it could reach the keeper.
 
Goalkeeper Marshall Hanyon played all ninety minutes for the Mules and made four saves.
