Three different players scored their first career goals as the Muhlenberg women's soccer team shut out Delaware Valley 3-0 in their first match of the Arcadia Invitational.
 
Freshman Sarah Hunter netted the Mules' (2-1) first goal of the match and the first of her Muhlenberg career in the 42nd minute. She received a pass from fellow freshman Danni Steigerwald on the left side and beat the Aggies' (1-2) goalkeeper to make it 1-0.
 
Senior Claire Douglass followed with her first career goal eight minutes later, firing a shot from inside the box that went into the right side of the net.
 
Muhlenberg scored its third goal in the second half when sophomore Meghan MacAskill (pictured above) found the back of the net on a shot from within close range.
 
The Mules held Delaware Valley to only one shot in the 12th minute and then blanked the Aggies in the remainder of the match while attempting 33 total shots of their own.
 
Freshman Libby Juliano started her first match for Muhlenberg in goal and made one save in her collegiate debut while playing all 90 minutes.
 
The win was the Mules' second straight shutout victory. By winning their first match, Muhlenberg earned a trip to the tournament championship where they will face the host team Arcadia.
