Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Women's Lacrosse Drops Key Game

Box Score

The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team fell at Dickinson, 13-10, in a matchup of teams that have been receiving votes in the Division III poll this season.

The loss put a crimp in the Mules' Centennial Conference playoff hopes. With one game left in the regular season, they are in sixth place, a game behind three teams tied for the final three playoff spots. Muhlenberg (11-4, 4-4) will need a win at Ursinus and some help to earn its third straight playoff berth.

Junior Stephanie D'Ascoli led the Mules with five points on two goals and three assists, while freshman Amanda Tullo scored three goals for her second hat trick.

Tullo scored a pair of goals two minutes apart early in the first half to stake Muhlenberg to a 3-1 lead. The Red Devils (9-6, 5-3) came back to take a 5-4 lead, but a 5-0 run wrapped around halftime gave the Mules a 9-5 advantage early in the second half. D'Ascoli scored two of the goals and assisted on another.

Dickinson seized the momentum back and went on a 5-0 run of its own to regain the lead at 10-9. A goal by junior Kelsey Nagle tied the score with 16:02 remaining, but Muhlenberg was shut out the rest of the game.

Sophomore Eliza Clark (pictured above) scored a goal and picked up a game-high four ground balls. Senior Amanda Orlak and junior Allison Murnick recorded three ground balls apiece.
