Senior
Kyle Larkin of the Muhlenberg men's lacrosse team made a career-high 21 saves in a 12-6 loss at McDaniel.
Larkin
(pictured above) became the first Mule goalie to record 20 or more saves in a game since 2010 and the first to do so in a regulation game since 2009. Larkin, whose previous high was 17 saves, made 13 stops while allowing only two goals in the second half. He leads the Centennial Conference with 165 saves, the most by a Muhlenberg 'keeper since the sport was reinstated in 2003.
Larkin's saves allowed the Mules to cut what had been a nine-goal deficit to five. McDaniel led 10-1 late in the first half before Muhlenberg ran off four straight goals, including three by junior
Brad D'Alessandro, to make it 10-5 with 2:48 left in the third. The comeback attempt fell short, though, as the Mules scored just once in the fourth quarter.
D'Alessandro finished with four goals to run his season total to 28, tying for the fourth-most in a season in program history. Junior
Ty Weisberg and sophomore
Joey Hess also scored goals.
Senior
Jashon DeSenna led the defense in front of Larkin with five ground balls.
