Playing in prime time, Brandi Vallely put on another prime time performance.

The sophomore recorded her fifth triple-double of the season with 12 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists as the Muhlenberg women's basketball team - playing the second game of a weeknight doubleheader for the first time this season - defeated Swarthmore, 75-57, for its fifth straight win.

Senior Christina Santone tied her career high - set a week ago - with 21 points and added 12 rebounds and four blocked shots. Sophomore Rachel Plotke also scored 21.

Vallely's five triple-doubles tie the Division III career record she now shares with an active player from Denison. She already held the season record. Vallely is one shy of the NCAA all-divisions record for triple-doubles in a season, held by a Division I player from Youngstown State, and one short of matching the total number of triple-doubles in the first 22 years of the Centennial Conference.

The Mules (21-2, 15-2) blocked 12 shots to tie the school record of 152 blocks in a season.

Swarthmore (5-19, 3-14) led 6-2 early on before Muhlenberg went on a 15-2 run to take the lead for good. Plotke (pictured above) scored 11 of the 15 points, making three straight three-point tries.

The Mules led by six after one quarter and outscored the Garnet by a 24-14 margin in the second, going into the halftime break with a 45-29 lead. Swarthmore got no closer than 14 points in the second half.

Vallely had 11 points, six rebounds and six assists at halftime and completed her triple-double with a pass in to Santone for a layup with 2:10 remaining.

Junior Maggie Zerbe and sophomore Chelsea Gary each blocked three shots. Gary also pulled down nine rebounds for the Mules, who held Swarthmore to 26.7-percent shooting.
