The Muhlenberg volleyball team continued its non-league schedule with a sweep of Alvernia and a 3-1 win over Hunter.
"We went 2-0 today, which is pretty awesome," said
Caroline Erb, who led the Mules with 17 kills in the two matches. "We ended up struggling a little bit against Hunter, but I'm really proud of my team for pulling it together and working hard to win 25-6 in the last set."

Shannon Hubert had a match-high five aces to go along with 12 assists, while junior
Elizabeth Garrison finished with 15 digs.
Defensively the Mules held Alvernia to -.023 hitting and had 13.5 blocks.
Freshman
Kelly Tornetta (12 kills and 11 digs) and Hubert (16 assists and 11 digs) each finished with double-doubles to power the Mules against Hunter. Garrison also finished the match with 11 digs, while senior
Vanessa Pulice had a match-high 17 assists and three aces.
The two wins gave the volleyball program an all-time record of 501-458, making it the third women's sport at Muhlenberg to reach 500 wins (basketball and softball are the others).
