The Muhlenberg volleyball team closed out its Centennial Conference season with a 3-1 win at Ursinus.

Freshman Kelly Tornetta and junior Allison Glass led a balanced attack with eight kills apiece. Freshman Shannon Hubert notched her 12th double-double of the season with 18 assists and 11 digs. Junior Elizabeth Garrison led the defense with 15 digs, while senior Katherine Boll had four solo blocks.

The Mules (17-9, 6-4) breezed in the first set, which was interrupted by a switch in venue. With Muhlenberg ahead 15-11, the floor in Ursinus' gym was deemed unsafe for play, and the teams moved to the field house for the rest of the match.

The Mules went on to finish out the set, 25-16, and won the second set by the same score. The Bears (5-18, 0-10) came back to win the third set, 25-21, but Muhlenberg jumped out to a 15-5 lead in the fourth and finished off the match with a 25-21 win.

Muhlenberg needs a Franklin & Marshall loss to Dickinson on Saturday to qualify for the CC playoffs.
