MisericordiaThe Muhlenberg volleyball team closed out the 2015 campaign with a pair of victories over Cabrini and Misericordia on Senior Day.
The Mules (19-9) took the first match against the Cavaliers (23-9) in five sets and then beat the Cougars (12-21) in straight sets.
The double wins capped an outstanding four-year run for seniors

Vanessa Pulice and
Sarah Weyhmuller, who finished as the third-winningest class in program history with a record of 81-40. In the four years prior to their arrival, Muhlenberg won only 44 matches.
Boll finished the opening match with 15 kills and five aces, while junior
Allison Glass had a double-double (13 kills, 11 digs). Kaser had a match-high 30 digs, adding to her school-record career total, and freshman
Shannon Hubert and senior
Vanessa Pulice handed out 22 and 19 assists, respectively.
Muhlenberg used a 6-0 run midway through the first set to take a 16-7 advantage. Boll served a pair of aces and held serve for five points, while Glass added a pair of kills during the stretch. The Mules maintained the lead and back-to-back kills from Weyhmuller and Glass closed out the first set, 25-17.
After narrowly dropping the next two sets, both 25-23, Muhlenberg rallied to take the fourth. In another closely contested set, the Mules found themselves trailing, 12-11, before a 6-0 spurt pushed them ahead, 17-12. Again Boll held serve for the final five points, picking up another ace. Weyhmuller added a pair of kills, and Josephson and Glass each chipped in a kill and a block during the run. A late Cavalier rally was stopped by Boll's set-winning knockdown.
In the fifth set, Muhlenberg climbed out of a 7-3 hole to win, 17-15. The Mules used four blocks in a 7-1 spree to take a 10-8 lead. Muhlenberg finally finished the match on a Glass kill and a Cabrini attack error.
The second match of the afternoon was all Muhlenberg. Glass completed her second double-double of the day, finishing with 11 kills and 15 digs, while Boll added a match-high 14 kills to end her career with 995 (fifth all-time).
A pair of 5-0 runs midway through the opening set sent the Mules to a 25-14 win. The first series came with Muhlenberg trailing 8-7. Back-to-back kills from Boll started the rally, and a third knockdown from the senior pushed the Mules to a 12-8 lead. A few points later Muhlenberg rattled off five straight again to take a commanding 18-10 advantage. Josephson and Weyhmuller capped the run with a block.
Boll started the second stanza with a pair of kills, followed by an ace from Kaser, and the Mules never looked back. Leading 18-11, Muhlenberg closed out the set with seven of the final eight points, highlighted by a pair of aces from Glass.
Tied 16-16 in the third set, Glass took over. She was responsible for four straight points for the Mules, a kill and three consecutive aces, to open a 20-16 lead. Muhlenberg maintained the advantage and took the final set 25-20. Murphy capped off the sweep with a kill.
