The Mules (4-11-1, 3-6) had two good chances to score against a Gettysburg defense that has allowed only five goals all season. In the 28th minute, freshman
Sarah Theurer forced the Bullet goalie - who is the Centennial Conference all-time leader in shutouts - to make a diving save after heading a corner kick by sophomore
Carly DeNigris at the back post. Early in the second half, DeNigris hit the crossbar with a long free kick.
Mermelstein made five saves and was helped out by Nehila, who cleared a shot off the line in the 72nd minute.
