Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Blanks Moravian

Box Score

Junior Nick Sarkos was involved in all three goals as the Muhlenberg men's soccer team won at Moravian, 3-0.

The win gave Muhlenberg a 3-0 lead in the 2015-16 Matte Award standings. The next Matte contest is in men's golf tomorrow.

Sarkos opened the scoring in the 11th minute after sophomore Jamar Noble won a corner kick. Junior Chris Skutnik beat the goalie to junior Jack Dusing's kick and headed the ball toward the open goal, and Sarkos tapped it in. It was the first career point for Skutnik (pictured above).

The score remained 1-0 for 50 minutes until junior Jeff Remley slammed in a rebound of Sarkos' saved shot to extend the margin to two.

The second goal tied Remley with Sarkos for the team lead in goals (three), but the tie did not last long. With 4:17 remaining, Sarkos dribbled past a Greyhound back and blasted in his fourth goal of the season.

Freshman Jordan Schreer made a career-high seven saves for his third shutout of the season.

The Mules (4-6-1) have not lost to their Lehigh Valley rivals since 2002.
