Todd Etters joined Muhlenberg’s coaching staff in the summer of 2025, bringing 23 years of experience, including 17 years as the head men’s cross country coach at Division I Lehigh University.
Etters began his coaching career in 2002 as an assistant men’s and women’s cross country coach before being promoted to head coach of the men’s team in 2008. In 2012, he was named Patriot League coach of the year after leading the Mountain Hawks to their first Patriot League Championship. Etters’ teams featured 18 national championship qualifiers and Patriot League champions, an All-American, and a Patriot League runner of the year.
His resume also includes time spent as the assistant men’s track and field coach at Lehigh, where he had a hand in an outstanding 2021-22 campaign. He helped Kyle Burke to a senior season that included seven school records, three Patriot League titles, an IC4A title, and an appearance at the NCAA East Preliminaries. Etters also coached the Patriot League championship-winning indoor distance medley relay team and steered the 4x800 relay team to an outdoor IC4A championship.
Etters graduated from Lehigh in 2002 with a degree in sociology and was captain of the men’s cross country team during his senior year. Todd and his wife Edann currently reside in Coopersburg with their five children.
