Anthony Calantoni joined the Muhlenberg coaching staff in 2019 after an outstanding career as a Mule runner. He is an assistant coach for cross country and coaches the middle-distance runners in track.
Calantoni earned All-America honors in indoor track by running on the distance medley relay team that came in seventh at the 2017 NCAA Championships. That relay squad also took gold at the Centennial Conference Championships, breaking the league record in the process.
Calantoni won CC gold on his own in the outdoor 800 in 2016 and added three silver medals and a bronze at CC meets He set school records in the indoor 1000 and 4x800 and also finished his career in the top 10 on the Mules' all-time performance list in the 800, 1500, 4x400 and 4x800 outdoors and 400, 800 and DMR indoors.
In cross country, Calantoni finished in the top five three times during his career, with a best of fourth at the 2016 Moravian Invitational. He placed 19th at the 2017 CC Championships.
Calantoni, who served as team captain in both cross country and track and field, graduated from Muhlenberg with a degree in business administration in 2018.
