Jason Newton, who grew up just a couple of blocks away from Muhlenberg College, joined the women's soccer coaching staff for the 2021 season.
Newton graduated from William Allen High School in 1988 and furthered his education at Eastern College, now known as Eastern University, graduating in 1992 with BA in elementary education. Later, he earned a master's degree in classroom technology from Wilkes University in 2008.Â
After many years as a substitute teacher, Newton is currently employed by the Allentown School District and works at South Mountain Middle School as a special education paraprofessional.
Soccer has been one of his many passions, and he served as the equipment manager for Coach Weitzman's FC Sonic NPSL team, winning the national championship in 2012. Newton also was part of Coach Weitzman's coaching staff at Whitehall High School in 2015.
Newton lives in Whitehall with his wife Michelle. He enjoys music and has easily been to over 100 concerts.
