Sadie Nelson joined the Muhlenberg coaching staff in 2023 following two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at nearby Cedar Crest College.
In August 2025, she was named associate head coach and tapped to take over the reins of the program following the retirement of longtime head coach Ron Rohn at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.
Nelson came to Allentown after a four-year playing career at the University of New England, where she was a three-time All-Commonwealth Coast Conference selection. A small forward and shooting guard, she averaged more than 10 points per game in her career, helping the Nor'easters to two CCC championships and NCAA Tournament appearances.Â
The 2017 Maine rookie of the year while at UNE, Nelson was a 1,000-point scorer at Windham (Maine) High School and played overseas in Japan.
Nelson earned her bachelor's degree in applied exercise science in 2021 and her master's in education in 2023.
