Katarina Polyviou joined the coaching staff of the Muhlenberg women's basketball team for the 2021-22 season.
Polyviou had a stellar four-year career as a field hockey goalie at nearby DeSales University. She was named to the All-MAC Freedom team all four years, earning all-region second-team honors in 2017. She started 77 games in goal and set Bulldog records for goals-against average (1.89) and shutouts (14) in a career. Polyviou was named national defensive player of the week in 2017.
An intern in Muhlenberg's Athletic Department in the spring semester of her senior year, Polyviou graduated from DeSales in 2020 with a degree in sport management. She also serves as an assistant coach for the Muhlenberg field hockey team.
