Ginger Lemon joined the Muhlenberg track and field coaching staff for the 2021 season.
For the previous four years, Lemon was the pole vault coach for the boys' and girls' teams at Hatboro-Horsham High School. During that time, she developed one of the largest and most successful pole vault teams in the conference, with her athletes qualifying for and placing in local, state and national championships and continuing the careers in college athletic programs.
Two of the athletes Lemon coached were Division I silver medalists in their indoor conference meets in 2020, one for the men at Bucknell and one for the women at Rider.
Lemon competed in the pole vault in high school, setting a school record and qualifying for districts twice. She now competes at the masters level and has won several local, regional, and national age group competitions in the last few years.
Lemon, who has also coached athletes from Philadelphia Jumps Club in practices and competitions, is a 2010 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her master's in secondary education from Gwynedd Mercy University in 2020.
