Brian Bleam, a former collegiate tennis player and certified tennis instructor through the Professional Tennis Registry, joined the Muhlenberg staff as assistant coach of the men's and women's teams in the fall of 2016.
Bleam has instructed many tennis camps and clinics throughout the Lehigh Valley and is a huge proponent of both physical fitness and video analysis. He believes that there are many different aspects that need to be worked on to truly improve one's tennis game. Bleam's favorite motto's is: "Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard."
A 1998 graduate of York (Pa.) College, Bleam was assistant coach at Salisbury High School from 2014 to 2016. He joined a team that had a losing record the year prior to his arrival and helped it to back-to-back district runner-up finishes in addition to coaching the school's first state doubles champions.
Bleam serves as head tennis pro for Oakmont Tennis Club, Upper Macungie Township and South Whitehall Township, training many of the top high school players in the Lehigh Valley and organizing tennis programs for all age groups.
