Maurice Stallings

Maurice Stallings

Maurice Stallings (Coach Moe) joined the Muhlenberg coaching staff as running backs coach in 2015. He has coached two of the only seven 2,000-yard rushers in program history in Nick Savant '18 and James Diggs '21, both of whom were both All-Centennial Conference selections, and another All-CC running back and 1,000-yard rusher in Amari Dunn '26.

Before coming to Muhlenberg, Stallings coached running backs, linebackers, coordinated the special teams and was the JV head coach at nearby Liberty High School in Bethlehem under head coach John Truby in the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

Coach Moe started his coaching career in the Pleasant Valley School District in Brodheadsville, where he was the eighth-grade head coach for the 2010-12 seasons and an assistant with the seventh-grade team in 2009 as the PV program was under the direction of coach Jimmy Terwilliger.

Stallings spent 2001-2002 at Fairfield University, led by head coach Joe Bernard, before the school dropped its program, playing running back and fullback. He transferred to East Stroudsburg University for the 2003-05 seasons, coached by Denny Douds, averaging 8.3 yards on 32 career carries. He was a member of the 2005 team that advanced to the Division II semifinals.

A 2006 graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a degree in sport management, Stallings has worked as the accessibility coordinator in the Office of Student Accessibility at DeSales University in Center Valley since 2022. He earned his master's in higher education from DeSales in 2022.

Stallings lives in Bethlehem with his wife Kate (ESU '06), who also works at Muhlenberg College, and sons Kayden and Micah.
