After playing at a Centennial Conference rival school for the previous two years, Jackie O'Connell joined the Muhlenberg coaching staff for the 2015 season.
O'Connell scored 16 goals in her two seasons at Washington College, leading the team in scoring in 2013, her first season of collegiate field hockey. She was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad and the CC Academic Honor Roll both years.
O'Connell also was a four-year member of the Shorewomen basketball team, serving as captain for three years and earning a spot on the CC Sportsmanship Team.
O'Connell graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a major in biology from Washington in 2015. She was involved in numerous campus activities, including Best Buddies, Adopt a Teammate, Caring Kids and HOSA (Health Occupations of America) and spent two summers doing environmental research in Bermuda, England and Ireland.
