Elliot Mortimer joined the Muhlenberg baseball coaching staff for the 2018 season.
Mortimer was a four-year pitcher at York (Pa.) College. He had a sensational freshman season in which he went 6-3 with a 3.05 ERA and was named Capital Athletic Conference rookie of the year as well as All-CAC second team. The rest of his career was curtailed by injuries, however.
Mortimer was named to the CACÂ All-Academic Team three times and served as team captain as a senior.
After graduating from York with a degree in sport management in 2017, Mortimer spent nine weeks as an operations intern at the Ripken Baseball Experience in Myrtle Beach, S.C.Â
A native of nearby Whitehall, Pa., Mortimer has volunteered with The Miracle League of Northampton County and Special Olympics in addition to youth baseball camps and clinics.
