Persistent effort by sophomore
Daniel Ariza gave the Muhlenberg men's soccer team its lone goal in a 1-1 tie at The College of New Jersey.
Before the game was 10 minutes old, Ariza pressured a Lion back to send the ball back to his goalie from about 25 yards out. Ariza
(pictured above) followed the ball back to the goalie and pressured him, blocking the attempted clearance, collecting the ball, and shooting it into the open net for his sixth career goal.
TCNJ tied the game late in the first half, and the deadlock remained throughout a scoreless second half.
Sophomore
Nico Famularo became the third different Mule to start in goal this season, saving the first shot on goal he faced and earning a tie in his first career varsity appearance. The Muhlenberg defense did not allow a shot on goal in the second half.
