The Muhlenberg baseball team closed out its 2026 road schedule with a dramatic 3-2 win at Ursinus.
Sophomore
Steven Dimovski belted a two-run homer in the eighth inning for the winning hit, and juniors
Luke Foley and
Frank Kern combined to allow only two runs on nine hits as the Mules (11-23, 6-10) posted a one-run win against the Bears (21-15-1, 8-8) for the sixth consecutive season.
Foley recorded an out in the eighth inning for the first time in his Muhlenberg career, finishing with seven hits, two runs and four strikeouts in 7.2 innings. He handed the ball off to Kern after walking consecutive batters to load the bases in the eighth.
Kern got out of that jam with a strikeout, and after allowing back-to-back singles in the ninth, induced a game-ending 6-4-3 double play to nail down his first career save.
Ursinus plated single runs in the sixth and seventh to take a 2-1 lead. Sophomore
Mike Carcich drew a one-out walk in the eighth, and one out later Dimovski
(pictured above) blasted a pitch just inside the foul pole in right for his third home run of the season.
It was the second straight Friday that the Mules came from behind to win a Centennial Conference game on a home run in the eighth inning or later.
Sophomore
Sean Habeeb went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, while sophomore
Marius Haughton had a perfect day with a single, double, walk, sacrifice, and hit by pitch in five plate appearances. Junior
Spencer Hobson recorded a pair of hits, including a double.
