The Muhlenberg tennis teams, coming off a perfect Spring Break trip to Hilton Head, have named four captains for the 2025-26 season.
The captains are seniors
Kety Gaidamashvili and
Caitlin Bestrycki for the women and senior
Gabriel Tamarkin and junior
Owen Dyer (pictured left to right above) for the men.
Gaidamashvili is returning to action after missing the entire 2024-25 year with an injury. She has played at the top of the lineup throughout her career, accumulating 14 wins.
Bestrycki, who played atop the lineup last year, leads all active Mule women's players with 26 career wins. She has played No. 2 doubles this season, compiling a 4-1 record with three different partners.
Tamarkin is in his third year as a team captain. He has compiled 20 wins during his career, mostly at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
Dyer leads all active Muhlenberg tennis players in wins with a career record of 47-39. Last year, he became first Muhlenberg sophomore to make the All-Centennial Conference team for singles since 1999.
Both Mule teams went 3-0 in Hilton Head, defeating Franciscan, Penn State Behrend, and Alfred. The women return to action tomorrow with a home match against Alvernia, and both teams host Centennial Conference foe Swarthmore on Saturday.
