Summer Check-In: Sean Krug

Muhlenberg athletes are spending the summer of 2025 enjoying fantastic experiences on campus, in their hometowns, and across the country.

Rising senior football player Sean Krug, a double major in business administration and accounting, returned to Cintas for his second summer experiencing the fast-paced world of sales.

Over the past two summers, I've had the privilege of working as a sales intern with the facility services team at Cintas, an industry leader in business solutions, at their 15F location in Union, New Jersey.

This role allowed me to gain hands-on experience in the sales process, from prospecting and cold calling to ride-alongs and closing deals. I participated in multiple weekly training sessions to help develop my skills and confidence as a young professional. Working closely with the experienced and highly talented sales reps gave me a front-row seat to the fast-paced world of sales.

When I first arrived at Muhlenberg, I wasn't sure what career path I wanted to pursue. Over time, learning more about my strengths and weaknesses, I decided it was in my best interest to look for a career in sales. Cintas stood out to me because of their strong reputation for sales development through a nationally recognized sales training program. I was fortunate to connect with a Cintas partner who is also a Muhlenberg football alumnus, and he provided invaluable mentorship and assistance throughout the application process.

One of the most exciting parts of the internship was the opportunity to travel and see a wide variety of areas across the region. Each day brought something different; I visited everything from busy urban businesses to small, family-owned operations. Along the way, I had the chance to meet interesting people from all kinds of industries, each with their own unique stories and challenges. Learning about these challenges gave me a better understanding of what goes into the day-to-day operations of a business and how important it is to tailor solutions to meet their specific needs.

I truly enjoyed my time at Cintas, especially the relationships I built with both partners and clients. The company culture is supportive, competitive, and filled with talented individuals who take pride in their work. One of the most rewarding aspects of the internship was witnessing the team's growth over the course of two summers and seeing the team recognized as Team of the Year for the region.

Being part of such a high-performing group confirmed that this is the kind of environment in which I want to build my career. I'm excited to continue growing with Cintas and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.
