Muhlenberg sophomore kicker
Andrew Deutsch was named Centennial Conference special teams player of the week.
Deutsch scored 11 points on perfect kicking in the Mules' 59-27 win at Gettysburg. He was 8-for-8 on extra points and drilled a 38-yard field goal early in the second quarter on his first career attempt. It was the longest field goal by a Muhlenberg kicker since 2019.
For the season, Deutsch is sixth on the Mules in scoring with 25 points in his six games since taking over primary kicking duties.
Deutsch is the fifth different Muhlenberg player to earn a CC weekly honor this season. In the last three years, five different Mules - two kickers, a punter, a kick returner, and a kick blocker - have won the CC honor for special teams.
The win improved Muhlenberg's record to 7-2 heading into this week's regular-season finale against Dickinson. The Mules have won at least seven games in 15 consecutive seasons.
