The Muhlenberg field hockey team scored four goals for the second straight game, evening its record with a 4-0 win at FDU-Florham.
Junior
Erin DiSandro was involved in all four goals, scoring the first two herself and assisting junior
Abba Diglio on the last two. She is the first Mule to have a hand in four goals in a game since 2016.
DiSandro blasted in a shot from the top of the circle off a penalty corner insertion from senior
Devon Eastlack to open the scoring midway through the first quarter. Midway through the third, she converted a pass from sophomore
MJ Callahan to complete her second consecutive two-goal game.Â
Callahan
(pictured above), who had two assists all last season, has now assisted on goals in back-to-back games.
Diglio made it 3-0 by scoring with just 2 seconds remaining in the third quarter, then redirected a shot from DiSandro early in the fourth to close out the scoring.Â
The six points pushed DiSandro past 50 for her career; she joined Diglio in reaching that milestone this season.
Muhlenberg outshot FDU 18-2 en route to its first shutout of the season.
