The Muhlenberg men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to seven with a 1-0 win at The College of New Jersey.
Despite holding an advantage in shots the entire game, the Mules (7-2-3) didn't break through until 4:31 remained in regulation, after senior
Abraham McWilliams rose to win a goal kick by the Lions around midfield. McWilliams passed ahead to junior
Sim Dorsey, who sent a cross across the box that was put away by sophomore
Gabe Blikshteyn.
It was the second career goal for Blikshteyn
(pictured above) and the third game-winning goal in the final five minutes of a road game for Muhlenberg this season.
The Lions (1-8-4) took two shots with a chance to tie in the closing minutes, but one was blocked and junior
Ben Mulford dove to his right to stop the other. Mulford finished with 4 saves in his 18th career shutout.
Muhlenberg nearly broke through in the 67th minute when a shot by freshman
Saleem Diakite appeared to go off the crossbar and in, but the goal was waved off by the referee.
