Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Men's Lacrosse Ties Wins Record

The Muhlenberg men's lacrosse team closed out the regular season with a 12-10 win at Stockton.

The Mules (11-5), who host a Centennial Conference playoff game against Franklin & Marshall or Haverford on Tuesday, tied a school record with their 11th win of the season. The 2018 squad, which finished 11-7, was the only previous Muhlenberg team to win 11 games in the season, and one of those wins came in the ECAC Tournament, so the 11 regular-season wins establish a new school record.

Muhlenberg scored just 30 seconds into the game, netted three goals in the first 2:32 and stayed on top the entire way against a strong Stockton team (12-5) that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last year and had been held to 10 goals or fewer only once previously this season.

Senior Dominick Visintin scored the Mules' first two goals 65 seconds apart and added back-to-back goals later in the half after the Ospreys had closed to within 3-2. The 4 goals tied a career high for Visintin, who has recorded at least 4 points in four of Muhlenberg's last five games.

Senior Jason Metz also recorded a hat trick, his third of the season, with 3 goals, while graduate student Ethan Grossman added a pair.

The Mules led 7-3 at the half and buckled down on defense every time Stockton threatened to get back in the game, holding the home team to one goal in the final 10:33.

Senior Max May made 13 saves in goal, moving into fourth place in program history with 419 career stops.

Senior Cooper Richards (pictured above) scooped up 3 ground balls.
