The Muhlenberg softball team lost 6-3 in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader at Messiah.
The nightcap was tied 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth when the rains came. The game was rained out and will not be made up.
The Mules (13-20) took a 1-0 lead in the third inning on an RBI single by junior
Gillian Zack. The Falcons (25-10) hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the third and led the rest of the way.

Samantha Winegard and
Dara DiMaiolo hit RBI singles in the fifth and seventh, respectively.

Maddy Svenningsen each had two hits for the Mules. One of Svenningsen's hits was her 11th double of the season, the second-most ever by a Muhlenberg first-year player.
Sophomore
Justine Bergara struck out 9, one short of her career high, in 5 innings pitched.
