Baseball Doubled Up at Dickinson

The Muhlenberg baseball team dropped the second game of its series with Dickinson, 8-4.

The game followed a similar pattern to the Mules' 7-3 home win against the Red Devils (18-10-1, 6-2) in the first game of the series in that every time the visiting team scored in the top of the inning, the home team answered in the bottom half.

Junior Jack Kent hit a two-run single in the top of the sixth to cut a 5-2 deficit to 5-4, but Dickinson got the two runs back in the bottom of the sixth and added an insurance run in the eighth.

Seniors Christian Schwarz and Jake Swerdloff and sophomore Brendan Hughes each had two hits for Muhlenberg (12-15-1, 5-3). It was the fifth multiple-hit game for Hughes in his last seven.
