The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team scored 12 seconds into the game and rolled to its fourth straight win, 20-3 at Delaware Valley.
For the second consecutive game, the Mules led 11-1 after one quarter and played the final three quarters with a running clock.
Senior
Samantha Eynon led all scorers with 4 goals, while freshman
Ava Milia recorded the fourth straight hat trick to start her career.Â
Junior
Lily Seifert needed only three shots to notch her second career hat trick, and freshman
Lauren Cherven also connected on all three of her shots to get a hat trick in the second game of her career. Senior
Emily Gaffney contributed 4 points on two goals and two assists.
Eynon
(pictured above) scored off the opening draw for the first of her four goals. Milia, Eynon and junior
Nicole Steiner then scored on three consecutive shots in a span of 40 seconds to extend Muhlenberg's lead to 4-0 barely more than a minute and a half into the game.
The Mules led 7-0 before the Aggies (1-3) attempted their first shot.Â
Muhlenberg finished with a 45-7 advantage in shots and held Delaware Valley to seven clears in 21 attempts. The Mules' last two opponents are just 16-of-43 on clears.
Sophomore
Emily Vaughan controlled 8 draws and also scored her first goal of the season. Sophomore
Sophie Spitzer recorded her first career assist on Cherven's first goal.Â
The Mules are off to a 4-0 start for the fourth time in the last nine seasons.
