The Muhlenberg field hockey team continued its stretch of tough opposition with a 3-0 loss at Franklin & Marshall.
The Diplomats (7-5, 5-0) are not currently nationally ranked but were 19th in the preseason poll and have reached the Centennial Conference final nine of the last 11 seasons. The Mules' other four opponents in their current stretch of five games are currently in the top 25.Â
Muhlenberg (4-7, 1-4) took the first penalty corner and the first shot of the game, but F&M netted single goals in each of the first three periods and finished with a 15-5 advantage in shots. The Mules were shut out for just the second time this season.
