The Muhlenberg volleyball team fell in three sets to defending Centennial Conference runner-up Franklin & Marshall.
After dropping the first two sets, 25-16 and 25-17, the Mules (11-8, 1-4) led for a good portion of the third set. Three straight kills by sophomore
Christina Marcin, assisted by freshman
Jenny Ryan, gave Muhlenberg a 12-8 advantage, and back-to-back aces by Marcin later in the set made it 16-9.
The Mules led 20-17 before the Diplomats (12-5, 4-1) seized control with a 6-1 run, and they closed out the match with a 25-23 win.
Marcin led the Mules with 8 kills, while juniors
Esmae Oehler and
Rachel Jacobs recorded 6 apiece. Ryan set a career high for the second straight match with 29 assists, and senior
Alyssa Faville paced the defense with 13 digs.
