The Muhlenberg women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss at regionally ranked DeSales.
The Bulldogs (5-2-2), ranked sixth in Region IV, scored once midway through the first half and put the game out of reach with two goals in a span of less than 10 minutes in the second half.
The halftime deficit might have been worse if not for the play of sophomore
Sara Pecorelli, who made two saves at point-blank range in the first few minutes of the game. She also made a tough save in the closing seconds of the first half.
Despite not scoring, the Mules (1-7-1) took 13 shots, their most in the last six games. Junior
Regina Russo (pictured above) came close to tying the game late in the first half, forcing the DeSales goalie to make a leaping save.
