The Muhlenberg women's soccer team scored in the first half and made it stand in its first win of the season, 1-0 at Catholic.

Bri Astbury scored her first career goal, and the first for the Mules (1-2-1) this season, in th 19th minute. The play started with a throw deep in Catholic territory by senior
Alexandra Chirinkin. Senior
Noemi Di Cori took the throw, played it around her defender, and found Astbury
(pictured above) open in the 6-yard box for a one-timer into the lower left corner.
The defense took care of the rest, keeping the Cardinals (1-3) off the board the rest of the way. Sophomore
Sara Pecorelli made four saves, and the Mules defended five corner kicks in the second half without allowing a goal.
It was the second shutout of the season for the Mules, who have conceded only two goals in four matches.
