The Muhlenberg baseball team nearly erased a seven-run deficit before falling to Swarthmore, 11-6.
The first-place Garnet (19-16, 12-3) led 7-0 after four innings before the Mules (15-19, 4-11) began their comeback. Senior
Danny Monzo hit his team-leading 12th double of the season to drive in two runs in the fifth, and freshman
Aidan Legner (single) and junior
Caleb Tereska (double) added run-scoring hits later in the inning.Â

Ryan Hebert (pictured above) hit his second home run of the season in the sixth to bring Muhlenberg to within a run at 7-6.
The Mules had the tying and go-ahead runs in scoring position in the top of the eighth but could not bring them in, and Swarthmore put the game away with four in the bottom of the inning.
