Sophomore
Gillian Zack hit her fifth home run of the season for the lone run scored by the Muhlenberg softball team in a doubleheader at Moravian.
Zack hit one over the fence in left to give the Mules (14-18) a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning of the first game. The Greyhounds (22-2), who have been ranked as high as 15th in Division III this season, scored two in the second and two in the sixth to claim a 4-1 win.Â
A pair of two-run homers gave Moravian a 4-0 victory in the nightcap.
Zack is only the fourth different Mule to hit five home runs in a season, and the second to do it in her first year with the team. Zack also doubled in the second game and has at least one extra-base hit in seven of her last nine games.
