The Muhlenberg men's lacrosse team jumped out to a big lead but could not hold on and lost at DeSales, 10-9 in overtime.
The result spoiled a milestone night for graduate student
Ethan Grossman, whose assist on the Mules' second goal gave him 200 career points. One of 14 active Division III players to hit the double-century mark, Grossman added three goals to extend his school record for the most career hat tricks (21).

Jack Kraemer, plus a pair from junior
James Dalimonte, staked the Mules (0-2) to a 5-1 lead just past the midway point of the first quarter.
But the offense went dry after that, going scoreless for the next 29 minutes as the Bulldogs (2-1) reeled off five straight goals to go ahead for the first time.
The lead changed hands four times after that during a tense second half. Muhlenberg trailed 8-7 midway through the fourth quarter, but back-to-back goals from Grossman 76 seconds apart made it 9-8 with 5:34 to play.
DeSales tied the score with 2:21 left in regulation. The Mules won the opening faceoff of overtime and had their first shot saved. Junior
Max May made a pair of saves in the extra period, but the Bulldogs put in a rebound off the second one to send Muhlenberg to its fourth one-goal loss in the last two seasons.
May finished with 14 saves. Sophomore
Matthew Regan picked up 5 ground balls, while senior
Maxwell Seeber recorded 4 ground balls and forced 3 turnovers.
Freshman
Andrew Sellitto scored his first career point, assisting sophomore
Jack Quinn on a go-ahead goal in the third quarter.
