The Muhlenberg women's soccer team drew a tough assignment for Senior Day and fell 4-0 to Johns Hopkins.
The Blue Jays (13-0-2, 8-0), ranked third in Division III, fired off 31 shots and scored twice in each half. Sophomore goalies
Sara Pecorelli (6) and
Grace Hoffman (2) combined to make 8 saves.
Muhlenberg's best chance to score came late in the first half, when junior
Bri Astbury forced a tough save by the Hopkins goalie.
Prior to the game, the Mules honored seniors
Noemi Di Cori,
Emily DeAngelo,
Alexandra Chirinkin and
Morgan McCauley.
McCauley, who is unable to play this year, was in the starting lineup for the first time in her career. After the opening kick was passed back to her, the Mules sent the ball out of bounds and McCauley received emotional hugs from her teammates as she left the field.
