The Muhlenberg women's soccer team fell at home to DeSales, 3-0, in its first game of the 2021 season.
The Bulldogs scored the opening goal late in the first half, and the Mules hung tough to keep the deficit at one goal through the rest of the half and most of the second half. DeSales had a 21-10 advantage in shots, and freshman
Sara Pecorelli made 7 saves in her first career start.
Two goals 12 minutes apart in the final stages of the game put the Bulldogs out of reach for the Mules, who suffered their first home loss since 2018.
Of the 18 Muhlenberg players who saw action in the game, all but five were appearing in their first career contest (including sophomore
Paige Addis, pictured above).
