The Muhlenberg volleyball team dropped its second straight Centennial Conference match, falling at home in three sets to Swarthmore.
The Garnet (5-5, 1-1), who received votes in the Division III preseason poll, won each set by the same score (25-17), but not without some anxious moments.
In the second set, the Mules (6-6, 0-2) trailed 16-12 before scoring the next three points and forcing Swarthmore to call a timeout. It was 17-16 before the Garnet closed out the set with an 8-1 run.
The third set was tied 11-11 before Swarthmore took the lead for good.
Senior
Megan Ray led the Mules with 10 kills with only one error in 23 attempts. Freshman
Jenna Stockfeder (pictured above) put down 5 kills in only 9 attempts.
