The Muhlenberg volleyball team came back twice and nearly a third time in a 3-2 loss at Washington College.
The Shorewomen (9-11, 2-6) took the first and third sets, 25-19 and 25-23, but the Mules (10-12, 3-6) claimed the even-numbered sets, 25-18 and 25-21, to set up the decisive fifth set.
Washington was two points from winning the match, with a 13-5 lead in the fifth, before Muhlenberg mounted a major comeback charge.

Emma Eglinton combined on a block to make it 13-6. Freshman
Esmae Oehler recorded a kill and then combined with sophomore
Isabella Pontrelli for a block to cut the gap to 13-8. Two service aces by junior
Amirah Moody (pictured above) and a Washington attack error made it 13-11.
The Shorewomen won the next point, but a kill by Oehler and another attack error turned it into a one-point margin, 14-13. Washington finally put the match away by scoring the last point on a Muhlenberg attack error.
Oehler finished with 12 kills, while Stockfeder recorded 8 (one off her career high) and a career-high 5 blocks and freshman
Rachel Jacobs set a career high with 8 kills.
Eglinton had an outstanding all-around match, with 35 assists, 7 digs, a career-high 5 blocks and 4 kills.
Sophomore
Alyssa Faville pulled up 23 digs and served a pair of aces to cap a 7-0 run that turned the tide late in the fourth set.
