The Muhlenberg men's soccer team lost an early lead and fell at home to Ursinus, 2-1.
Junior
Taylan Akdag continued his scoring surge for the Mules (6-6-2, 1-5-1), netting his fourth goal in the last three games after senior
Stephen Carton drew a foul outside the box in the eight minute. Akdag deposited the kick in the upper right corner of net in a shot reminiscent of the goal he scored against Elizabethtown last week.
The Bears (8-5-1, 4-3) tied the game with 2:26 left in the first half and scored the winner midway through the second half.
Muhlenberg came close to tying the game with 5:20 remaining, but a header by Akdag off a cross from sophomore
Caleb Herring hit the crossbar. Ursinus held on to defeat the Mules for the first time since the formation of the Centennial Conference in 1993.
