Michael Hnatkowsky broke three major records to lead the Muhlenberg football team to a 54-19 win at Gettysburg.
Hnatkowsky completed 23 of 29 passes for a career-high 407 yards (his first career 400-yard game; the fourth in program history) and six touchdowns. The six six-pointers broke the school record of five, set nine times previously (four times by Hnatkowsky).
Hnatkowsky also broke the Muhlenberg and Centennial Conference records for career passing yards. Entering the game with 10,131 yards, he soared past the school mark of 10,250 and the CC mark of 10,481, setting a new standard of 10,538 with at least five games remaining in his career.
The touchdown record and CC passing mark both came on Hnatkowsky's last pass of the game – a 71-yard scoring strike to junior
Thomas Jenkins early in the fourth quarter. Hnatkowsky is now tied for 16th in Division III history with 115 career TD passes.
Other than giving up two long touchdown passes, the Mule defense also had a good day, holding the Bullets (1-4, 1-3) to 259 total yards – 115 on the 56 plays that didn't go for long touchdowns. Muhlenberg (4-1, 3-1) kept Gettysburg in the red on the ground, allowing -11 net rushing yards.

Steve Sanders recorded the first two interceptions of his career on back-to-back Gettysburg drives in the fourth quarter.
The Mules broke the ice on their third drive of the game, needing only four plays to move 60 yards for a touchdown. Senior
Mitch Daniel hauled in a pass for the final 22 yards, part of a huge day for him. He finished with seven catches for a career-high 171 yards and three touchdowns, one short of the school record.
Another quick drive – three plays, 59 yards – produced the second Muhlenberg touchdown, on a 39-yard pass from Hnatkowsky to Daniel.
Hnatkowsky also connected with senior
Zach Deldin in the second quarter to send the Mules into the locker room with a 21-9 lead. Deldin became the third Muhlenberg player this season to catch a touchdown pass in three straight games.

(pictured above), a 17-yarder, in the third quarter, and later in the period Daniel found the end zone for the third time, from 43 yards out.
The Mules put the game out of reach by scoring on consecutive offensive plays in the fourth, first on a 3-yard run by junior
Ethan Brader and then on Jenkins' long touchdown on the first play after Sanders' first pick.
Freshman
Joseph Repetti threw his first career touchdown pass, to sophomore
Andrew Darno, late in the fourth to put the Mules past the 50-point mark for the first time this season.
