The Muhlenberg women's soccer team scored two second-half goals and picked up its second win of the season, 2-0 against Alvernia.
Junior
Noemi Di Cori broke a scoreless deadlock with 17:40 remaining by netting a goal for the second straight game. Sophomore
Lexi Sipos dribbled into the corner and delivered a cross into the box, where Di Cori stuck her right foot out and one-touched the ball into the back of the net.
Less than two minutes later, the Mules (2-10-1) doubled their lead on a great individual effort by sophomore
Paige Addis, who dribbled through and around three Alvernia defenders and into a box, then beat the goalie with a shot to the far post for her second goal of the season.
The Muhlenberg defense allowed the Golden Wolves (3-10) only one shot in the second half, none in the final 34 minutes. Freshman
Sara Pecorelli made three saves, combining with classmate
Grace Hoffman on the Mules' third shutout of the season.
